Six Flags, Discovery Kingdom - ValleJo

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is a combination wildlife park, aquatic park, and theme park; located 30 miles northeast of San Francisco. It's part of a big chain of amusement parks in US.

All throughout our trips in US, we had mercy of the weather god on us and this day was no exception. A bright sunny day as always hmmm... On the way to Six Flags we had our 1st minor accident under the bridge. Kuch jyada panga nahi hua... Is durghantana mein kisi jaan maal ki haani nahi hui...All the sufferings were beared by car we bumped in :D We mutually settled the issue. The other guy was kind enough, humse hi maafi maang raha tha unlike apna desh, jaha pakka panga guaranteed hota hai...

Six flags is way way better than wonderla our local amusement park in Bangalore, It is almost 100 times more fun. Six Flags offers over 40 rides including some really world-class roller coasters like Medusa, Boomerang, Vertical Velocity and many others. Aquatic and animal shows help in relaxing you and refreshing so that you can take other rides.

On our way to 1st ride Vertical velocity i got a glimpse of my 1st dolphin and Penguin... Penguins are so cutee na... We started our roller coaster safar with Vertical Velocity
ride. Turn out to be the best ride and the most scary. we loved every second of the 14 second ride. It went way way up and then a quick fall...back with a quick thrust... beta totally waat... I can't explain how we felt, it was simply awesome....we were breathless... jabaan atak gayi thi...bolne ke liye bhi fight ho rahi thi :-( Next one was a new ride, started 2 months back - Tony Hawks big spin ride which is simulation of skating. A chill ride as per our buddy Mr. Dheeraj :D served as a good relaxation, giving us time to get back our nerves, after the fadu vertical velocity ride.

Roar ride looked very simple ride from the top of Tony Hawk's ride. It is a completely wooden ride...wonder how these guys are able to maintain it ??? Ride could be a risky one...deemak lag gaya... poori ride ki waat...This ride looked very easy at the onset but completely surpassed our expectations...Its a very long ride (35 sec) and we completely enjoyed every second of it...

We all guys then went towards the walrus show... Walruses are very big... These guys have done a great job in training them. Seeing walrus performing Push ups, Waving, Catching the ball was incredible. This was 1st time i had seen professional training/show without any animal beating involved... sab kuch bade hi pyar se .. hole hole...Time for now some real sharks... They didn't look dangerous, in fact all of them were leaving in peace...tahal rahi thi idhar se udhar mast... Since sharks are used to moving rapidly and travel long distances this place was kind of blocking their movements... so was feeling a little bad, Good thing learned was that even sharks are sometimes nice and they also wish to live in harmony. We also were lucky to spot Stingray.

Dolphin show - I had been waiting for this, dolphin kitni pyaari hoti hai na.."Teri pyaari pyaari surat ko kisi ki nazar na lage, chasmein baddoor" can't describe how happy i was and all those kartabs and stunts from 2 dolphins were simply amazing... Splashing of the water in stands, waving, dancing, butterfly dancing, jumping up -- way way up ... even the snaps taken will not be a true indicator of the fun we experienced there... One needs to be there to get it :P

Then came the 2nd best ride of the day "Boomerang". The very sight of this ride was scary... we were all breathless for a while... pehle upar hi upar 50 degrees inclined and then a 5 second stop at the top...(Time for the ride to start... hold on your breadth, still feeling my nerves while writing this blog) Sudden fall and then 10 second of twists and turn, upar neeche, ulta phoolta... and again back to top on the second side of the ride, wait for 2 seconds and again a steep fall but this time in the opposite direction even more fast and furious, full of thrill than the 1st time...

Our next destination was
Tava's Jungleland which had Lion (atlast i was able to see king of the jungle), Giraffe, Mountain lion, Clean Tiger, Flamingo's, many kinds of reptiles, Camel, elephant, sea lions, seals, star fish. Flamingo's were looking pretty cool with mix of kesari and white color, standing on one thin leg, a perfect balancing act...

Gouraj was our lone warrior for Sky Coasters, Its very similar to bungee jumping but has more of pendulum type swirls. Initial jump from the top is the be
st part of this ride. Rest of us did not feel that the ride was worthy enough of extra $35 and bungee jumping would be more fun...

Shouka - Killer whale show was the best we can expect from the day. It was kind of "Sone pe suhaaga"... Shouka was looking very pretty... shining black body on the top with pure white (safedi ki jhankaar) on the back side... She amazed all of us with her acrobatic stunts... Hats of to the trainers

Time for two of the biggest rides Kong and Medusa on Discovery Kingdom. Medusa
is the tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster in Northern California. After lots of waiting time in Kong ride, i ditched it and went for Monsoon falls and crazy cars while Omkar, Dheeraj and Gouraj completed both of them... Thoda so monotonous ho gaya tha...i felt usi types ki ride karke....The only difference between rides like Medusa and kong than other previous rides was that both of them were very long (45 seconds of thrill and breath taking) but kind of same experience and in some way expectations were set so unexpected part kuch nahi tha...So decided to do more fun stuff or more of baccho wala stuff...aankhir hum bhi to bacche hi hai...

All in all a nice experience to have and something that we will cherish for a long time. If you are in US, do not miss one of these, Its a penta awesome experience with lots of thrill added with spices of fun...
